NETLINK TRUST IMPLEMENTS NEW INITIATIVES TO IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY

Singapore, 10 December 2014 – NetLink Trust respects the decision by the Info-communications Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) relating to the Quality of Service (QoS) performance for residential end-users from January to June 2014.

NetLink Trust has been improving its service delivery to meet IMDA’s QoS standards. Our efforts to increase service capacity have led to a significant improvement in our performance. This year, NetLink Trust has undertaken a mass home-reached rollout exercise to over 100,000 residential premises. We have increased installation capacity during IT shows and extended service provisioning to Saturdays. We are heartened that IMDA recognises these efforts and considers our improvements in their decision.

More recently we have introduced the Fibre Takeover (FTO) programme to reduce waiting time for end-users when they switch retail service providers.

We have made good progress, and will continue to evaluate our installation process and implement new systems / initiatives to further improve service delivery.

As part of our rectification measures to improve QoS, we proposed a number of changes to our ICO, some of which were supported by the industry and now accepted by IMDA. The changes are aimed at improving our agility to adjust our resources / manpower in response to demand volatility.

NetLink Trust appreciates the industry’s feedback in the public consultation. We acknowledge the additional changes proposed by IMDA and will work closely with IMDA and all industry partners to ensure smooth implementation of the initiatives.
